Legend : The Chief's palace is located at the highest point in Tetra,on the South-Eastern most place on the island. South-East is the direction of the rising sun & the sun is symbolic of the Chief's sovereignity. Being at the highest point of the island is symbolic of his responsibility & position,his responsibility to protect & provide for his people,his position as Supreme Ruler of Tetra. The Caribis Kalne Embassy is where business is conducted between Tetra & Caribis Kalne & Dignitaries from Caribis Kalne will reside when visting Tetra. The Temple is located in the center of Tetra,because the Temple is at the "center" of the Tetronian culture. The Temple is for both the Spiritual & the economic needs of the island-nation,the High Priest is also the head treasurer-banker of Tetra. It's the center of Tetronian religion & commerce. "Citizen Housing" cities are self explanatory,they're cities where the "non-food humans" live. Each city has a population of approximately 100,000 people. The Holding Pen Complex is a fortified city that is,for all points & purposes,a prison with cages or holding pens that house the food humans.There are up to 10,000 food humans kept here, with 20 to 40 living in dormatory cells,1 of their legs shackled to prevent any escape attempts. The difference between this city & a prison is that there are residences for the staff,who live in the city,merchants,an auction block,an auctioneer & a mayor (not a warden). Weekly auctions are held,where a variety of the of food humans are displayed & sold. The staff is responsible for making sure that the food humans become & remain plump & tender,making sure that the food humans remain safe (until dinner time),make sure none of them escape,"behavior readjustment" & that they remain healthy. Part of the process of creating compliant "livestock" is to limit how much they can sleep, muliple feedings and if they try not to cooperate,they're beaten on the back (where the meat is minimal) or mild torture is used,until the women are submitted into cooperating. But,what ever method is used,the attendants will try to avoid bruising or otherwise damaging the meat in anyway. Another process is to starve them for a day or two,then give them a VERY large meal. Fattening food production is a farms where the food is produced that will be used to fatten up the food humans. Many of the citizens work on this farm. The Farm is approximately 3 1/2 miles by 5 miles in size. The Dining Circle is where they hold public feasts,where only the fattest of the food humans are served. This area can also be used for smaller gatherings. The Dining Circle is enclosed within a large & ancient circle of monolithes. The signifance of this circle for public meals is that the circle signifies unity & family & so,the nation,as a family,share their meals together. This breeds the unification of the nation. After the alliance & trade agreement were formed between Tetra & Caribis Kalne ,Caribis Kalne financed the construction of an elaborate dock & ship yard. Prior to the agreement,Tetra was isolated & self sufficient,so they had no need for docks or ships. However,the agreement served to increase the Tetronian economy even more. The Hunting Ground is used for "sport",followed by a grand Feast with the quarry as the main course. However,she's trapped or caught alive to preserve the freshness of her meat. Peridiocally,a food human would be allowed to "escape" & the guards & attendants would chase her into the forest,about a half mile or so from the Holding Pen Complex. Sometimes,AKASA would visit Tetra & hunt alone to satisfy his Predatory nature. The Warer Conversion Plant converts salt water into fresh water Tetra is surrounded by a salt water ocean,so salt water is in abundance. However,fresh water was scarce until they used technology that the first settlers brought with them from Caribis Kalne. Now,they literally have an ocean supply of fresh water to water their fattening food production farms and for drinking. Since the trade agreement,the vineyard of Tetra has become famous for producing the finest wine in the region. The wine has become the wine of choice for serving with or having right after feasting on the well fattened women that the people in this world enjoy so much. Also,wine can be fattening. So the food humans are "allowed" to drink an abundance of wine,which serves to both help in the fattening process,but also helps in making them more compliant through intoxication or sleepiness. |
